Meherio Rapa Nui Glass Boat
Live an unforgettable experience in the sea of Rapa Nui thanks to “Meherio Rapa Nui”, the only boat with a glass bottom on Easter Island.
For an hour and a half you can enjoy the incredible crystal clear waters of the Rapa Nui Sea and contemplate the rich marine life it contains.
Regular route
The boat leaves from Hanga Piko every day at 10:30 am. (the walks can be suspended if the weather conditions or the sea are not favorable) and goes towards the three motu (islets) located in front of the Rano Kau volcano. During the journey you can see Ana Kai Tangata cave, coral reefs, sea birds and various varieties of fish. Finally, before returning to port, visit the submerged moai, which is 22 meters deep in Pea Bay (visibility depends on sea conditions).
Alternative route
If the weather prevents us from navigating towards the Motu, we offer a second route that also departs from Hanga Piko and goes to the sector of the cave of the 2 windows and motu Tautara, from there to head towards the sector of Tahai and see the giant coral. Finally, the route reaches Pea Bay to see the submerged moai.
As a final touch of the tour (in both options) you will have a few minutes to bathe and enjoy the sea before returning to port.
