The agricultural and handicraft fair located in the heart of Hanga Roa is a meeting place for some rapanui inhabitants, and is usually more lively in the morning, as they used to have breakfast in the small cafeteria, chat and offer their products.<\/p>\n

On the outer wall overlooking Atamu Tekena Street, small stands are displayed displaying several types of freshly caught fish such as pissi, toremo, kana kana or the island’s precious tuna. It is advisable to arrive early because fishing, which is not refrigerated, is finished quickly due to the demand of hotels and restaurants in the city.<\/p>\n

Inside the fair is divided into two parts. In the first there are several stalls selling local vegetables and fruits, including bananas, pineapples, avocados and other vegetables. In other positions they offer also clothes.<\/p>\n
