Despite the small size of Easter Island, along the whole surface can be counted several volcanos, however there are three main volcanoes that formed and gave rise to the triangular shape of the island : <a title=\"Rano Kau\" href=\"https:\/\/imaginarapanui.com\/en\/easter-island-sightseeing\/easter-island-volcanoes\/rano-kau\/\"><strong>Rano Kau<\/strong><\/a>, <a title=\"Poike\" href=\"https:\/\/imaginarapanui.com\/en\/easter-island-sightseeing\/easter-island-volcanoes\/poike\/\"><strong>Poike<\/strong><\/a> y <strong><a title=\"Terevaka\" href=\"https:\/\/imaginarapanui.com\/en\/easter-island-sightseeing\/easter-island-volcanoes\/terevaka\/\">Maunga Terevaka<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nowadays all of the Easter Island volcanoes, both the main ones and the secondary ones, are dormant and discovering its shapes, craters, and lagoons is an amazing and unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n<p>It was these volcanoes, especially <strong><a title=\"Rano Raraku\" href=\"https:\/\/imaginarapanui.com\/en\/easter-island-sightseeing\/easter-island-volcanoes\/rano-raraku\/\">Rano Raraku<\/a><\/strong> and <a title=\"Puna Pau\" href=\"https:\/\/imaginarapanui.com\/en\/easter-island-sightseeing\/easter-island-volcanoes\/puna-pau\/\"><strong>Puna Pau<\/strong><\/a>, that provided the <a href=\"https:\/\/imaginarapanui.com\/en\/rapa-nui-culture\/\">Rapa Nui<\/a> with the raw material needed for the construction of their stone giants.
