Fourth day

Since you have more time, now you can visit the more uncommonly visited places in the island. We suggest that you follow the trekking route: North coast: Tahai-Anakena. This path will lead out of  Tahai and has an estimated duration of 6 to 7 hours. It will lead you through the foothills of  Terevaka to Anakena beach, where you can spend the rest of the day enjoy the beautiful calm sea.

It’s best to make arrangements with a taxi before leaving Hanga Roa, so that it will pick you up at a certain time. That way you’ll be able to enjoy the beach for the rest of the day. You can also follow this route in the opposite direction starting atAnakena and ending up at the village.

Five days or more

If you have five or more days to spend on the island, then you’ll have more than enough time to discover the most remote places and do many of the activities available on the island. For example, you could hike to Poike. It’s recommended that you contact a local guide for this, as finding and identifying the archeological remains is not easy.

You’ll also have time to ride horseback, travel by boat to the motus, take a scuba diving class, go biking or simply enjoy more of the island’s wonderful beaches.

Easter Island is an amazing place to relax, unwind, and disconnect from the world; so if you can, set aside at least a week for your trip. You won’t regret it.
